Artists Alley at the Orange Home Grown Farmer’s Market

Dec 1, 2017

A Farmer’s Market where dogs are welcome!

Many people AND dogs love this so-much-more-than-a-farmer’s market that happens every Satuday morning in the City of Orange (California). They also host an Artists Alley in the holiday months for shoppers searching for unique and locally created gifts.

This farmer’s and artisan’s market run by Orange Home Grown Inc. (who strives to cultivate a health community through awareness, advocacy and education) really is the cream of the crop. They have organic, homemade, unique, high-quality, fresh food and goodies with friendly faces, good service, and a fun environment… you name it–they’ve got it.

Yummy goodies can be found in any direction here!

Saturdays at the Orange Home Grown Market will be your new favorite SoCal place to hang out, go to a workshop (tree grafting, etc.), do your grocery shopping, shop for gifts, and indulge in baked goods.

One of the most unique features to this Farmer’s and Artisian’s Market is the “Park Your Paws” area where vounteers sit with your dog while you shop!

Yes, you heard me right! They have a Park Your Paws pet-sitting booth where your four-legged family member can hang out while you shop! This means you can tie your morning or afternoon walk right into the market without having to leave your buddy at home! Perfect day for all!

A wide variety of yummy, fresh goodies!

My favorite thing about shopping for groceries at this market are the organic options and ability to purchase straight from the farm, as well as taste test some of the goods!

Another differentiating factor with this market is the live music flowing which provides non-stop positive energy! It’s always a fun time here!

This booming Farmer’s Market is located on the corner of Cypress and Palm (304 N Cypress St. Orange CA) at the historic Villa Park Orchards Packing House, now owned by Chapman University. Parking is easy and free if you choose to drive!

Artists Alley for holiday shopping

You can find unique handmade items by local folks at the annual seasonal Artists Alley that runs every November through December. This is a great location to find locally sourced, unique holiday gifts! Greyboy Pet Prints has a table at the Artists Alley as well as many other vendors with handmade goods (handblown glass sitting on driftwood, homemade beauty products, knitted goods, handmade candles, and so much more!). Our table has our pet etchings out that we’ve created by hand with a printing press from a client’s favorite pet photo. They are there for you to touch and see what an etched plate looks like, along with the final fine art product!

So there it is! I just had to share with you about this amazing market that happens every Saturday between 9am and 1pm.  Greyboy Pet Prints will be there most weekends with a table showing our handmade pet etchings crafted from your photo.

Here are two recent etchings created after shoppers stopped by our table and emailed or handed us their photo to etch. Chuka the Malamute and Razzberry the Pug!

The Artists Alley only happens during November and December, but the Farmer’s Market itself is open year round! If you’re local to the City of Orange, do stop by and enjoy! Happy shopping and Happy Holidays!
